Delicious, home cooked, local, seasonal food (much of it grown by themselves), cooked and served with love and care by John and Carol. The Bridge Cafe is open Thursdays to Saturdays during the Spring and Summer, and it is advisable to book as it is a very popular place.

Peterstone Court Hotel

Peterstone Court has a an impressive Georgian facade and inside a restaurant that serves local food (much of it from their own farm) and a spa for a bit of pampering. The food is very good, slightly more expensive than some of the other restaurants but worth it.

The Felin Fach Griffin

A country pub in a tiny village that serves seriously good food and wine. The food is probably the best you will find near Brecon, with great local produce given the star treatment with an excellent wine list and desserts to die for. Make sure you give them a call as they are very popular, especially at weekends.

There is only one place for afternoon tea in the Brecon Beacons (apart from Danyfan) and that is at Gliffaes.  Tea is served every day from 4 to 5:30pm and a what a feast it is.  There is a table in the sitting room brimming full of delicious, home made cakes, sandwiches and scones, and you are welcome to eat as much as you can.  Sit at a table in the cosy sitting room by the fire, or on the terrace enjoying the views of the river and mountains, and enjoy a Welsh institution.

Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre

The Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre has a cafe with great value teas, coffees and home made cakes, biscuits and scones.  It also has all the information you could ever want about the National Park, and some really nice walks right from the car park with panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons across the valley.

The Cafe, Brecon

The Cafe serves great freshly made, home made cakes and biscuits and make a really good coffee.  They are right in the middle of Brecon so a great place to take a time out.
